Mama, she’s crazy

miscellaneous yarn

As a kid, I remember my grandmother and mother using material remnants to make Crazy Quilts. Never ones to throw away perfectly good fabric, they would create blankets with no recognizable blueprint.

My first unsupervised sewing project was to deconstruct several pair of old jeans, and piece together a pillow cover. I think I still have that pillow somewhere

Nowadays, I crochet more than I sew. I have an overabundance of miscellaneous yarn left over from other projects, but not enough of one color to make anything usable. Together though, all of those partial skeins will make a bricolage afghan.
