Hundred Acre Wood

Saturday, I wandered around trails at Blackwater River State Park near Holt. The recent rains made everything extra soggy, so I was grateful for the beam boardwalks wending through the woods. And… yes, I did execute my best Olympic gymnast dismount arm flourish when I reached the end of each segment without falling off into the swamp.

At the end of the trail I found a great, old “No Trespassing” sign that reminded me of Winnie the Pooh and the Hundred Acre Wood. Considering my last flirtation with trespassing, I stayed on the legal side of the posted warning.

“Oh, that’s his name up there. ‘Trespassers Will.’ That’s short for ‘Trespassers William’.” ~ Piglet (A.A. Milne)
