Tarklin Bayou

I’m still keeping up with my quasi-daily walks, logging in more than 20 miles since last Sunday. Not too shabby. Saturday I took off for one of my photo hunts, making it more of a hike again, spending two hours at Tarklin Bayou State Preserve near Pensacola. It was a gorgeous day, not too hot, a slight breeze, and I had the place practically to myself. It was glorious!

The trees were budding out, flowers and wildberries were blossoming. Soon the fields will be covered in pink and cream pitcher plants.

*Florida Tourism really should hire me…

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, or 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and/or a Nikon CoolPix S205)

  1. They really REALLY should hire you. Have you thought about approaching them with a portfolio of local work? Because I know here in Vancouver, many tourism outlets will buy your photography of the city.

The red flower shot is so rich and vivid. I’d love to paint it.

  2. Beautiful pics as always. Walking…that’s what I should and will do a lot during this week! 🙂
Sorry I’m late but I had problems with my right hand…
