My photo hikes have become the highlight of my week. I get out of the house for a few hours to go where I want, and do what I want. The quiet and solitude is a welcome change of pace from what can be a humdrum routine of chores, and constant demands on my time and attention.
I enjoy the simple pleasures of being outside and looking at the world through my camera lens.
(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

2nd to the last picture is my favorite. I can’t imagine you without your photo hikes.

I love the first shot. I totally agree about how enjoyable it is to get outside and take photos. I never bothered until I started blogging and now I’ve started to view the world through new eyes.

The dandelion is an amazing close-up. It made me look at the list of lenses you used for the photos. Do you carry all that with you when you take your photo hikes?

The first one is wonderful. So is the dandelion. Great perspective.

I enjoy your moments behind the camera lens too. I’ve been doing a bit more of that myself:-)

I’m guessing that first one was taken looking up through a fire tower. I have always LOVED shots like that – – – ever since I snapped my first one with my little Brownie black and white back in the late 60’s days.
